Kennels is a small, family-owned breeding kennel of pure,
quality Labrador retrievers. We are located on 13 secluded
acres in the mountains of Frederick County Virginia. All
of our dogs have top pedigrees with champion bloodlines. Our
puppies make ideal hunting and show dogs as well as family
pets. All puppies are family raised, one litter at a time,
in a loving and social atmosphere.
Jenifer
is a licensed veterinary technician with over 16 years experience
and has attended several reproduction seminars. Jenifer actively
shows in breed classes as an owner/handler and recently began
participating in hunt trials.

Well, it is not to make money that is for sure. It is
for the pure love of the breed. It is a hobby, and I enjoy
it very much. Any dog that is kept in my breeding program
has to be top notch. He/she must have clearances and be
free of any other health problems that could potentially
be past on to puppies, such as allergies, bad skin, bad
bites, etc… My dogs are asked to be above all good
examples of the breed with nice pedigrees.
Unfortunately, a pure bred dog is easy to find, just open
the paper and look in the classified section. You will
see many puppies for sale, but you wouldn’t find
me even considering one for myself. It is the research
that goes into the pedigrees and knowing and hoping
that a planned match will be all that I dream it will
be. It is so much more than just finding another Labrador
that is available to mate my dog to. It is the people
that own the stud dogs that will only uphold the same
standards that we keep when allowing their dogs to mate
to other dogs that has kept our wonderful breed from being
doomed by the back yard breeders out to make a quick buck.
There are a lot of nice dogs out there, but not all of
them should be bred. As a breeder, it my goal to see that
each litter I produce is better than the one before. I
love each and every puppy that is born in my house, and
will love them and be responsible for them until the
day they die.
